Odyssey Marine Exploration
Seventeen tons (500,000 coins) of silver were recently found in the Atlantic Ocean at a shipwreck site codenamed the "Black Swan." Go to www.shipwreck.net find out more.Believed to be discovered 1996 off the coast of North Carolina (Beaufort Inlet). Blackbeard's ship ran aground in 1717.

Whydah:
Pirate Samuel Bellamy's wreck was discovered off the coast of Cape Cod in 1984 by Barry Clifford, who recovered many artifacts from the wreck, such as coins, weapons and the ships bell. The archeological treasures are on display at the Expedition Whydah Sea Lab and Learning Center in Providence, Massachusetts.
